(Official name: General Board of Publication) The agency that has responsibility for and the supervision of the publishing interests of The United Methodist Church. The United Methodist Publishing House publishes and distributes all the official publications, records, and forms of the denomination, publishes books through Abingdon Press, and operates the Cokesbury retail stores and mail order service. It also publishes and distributes church school materials and resources throughout the denomination. Its offices are in Nashville, Tennessee.
