Glossary: New Testament

Includes the twenty-seven books accepted by Christians as authoritative or canonical concerning the life of Christ and the experience of the early Christian church. Article V of the United Methodist Articles of Religion affirms "All the books of the New Testament, as they are commonly received, we do receive and account canonical." The New Testament serves as the source and guide for our faith in Jesus Christ.
