A person who has been elected to this status by the ministerial members of the Annual Conference. Each person elected has met the requirements to qualify and has been recommended by the Annual Conference Board of Ordained Ministry. The clergy membership of an Annual Conference consists of all ministerial members in full connection, probational members, associate members, affiliate members, and local pastors under full-time appointment to a pastoral charge. When a person becomes a member of an Annual Conference, he or she no longer retains membership in a local church.
