A congregation of persons who have joined together as Christians and as United Methodists to carry forward the message of Christ and to witness to and serve the world. It is the fellowship of persons who have professed their belief in Christ, have been baptized and have taken the vows of membership of The United Methodist Church. Congregations are organized and chartered by Annual Conferences.
